About Us:

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is a leading provider of healthcare services, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and improving community health outcomes. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist Technician to join our dynamic team.

Position: Phlebotomist Technician

Responsibilities:

• Collect specimens and determine the most suitable method for drawing blood samples from patients, encompassing individuals of all ages ranging from infants to geriatrics with diverse health statuses.
• Maintain a standard of drawing blood from an average of 10 patients per hour.
• Provide clear and concise verbal and written instructions to patients regarding sample collection, ensuring instructions are given 100% of the time.
• Execute all tasks utilizing appropriate techniques to ensure specimen integrity and accurate identification throughout laboratory processes.
• Safely transport specimen samples to the designated department.
• Efficiently check in, document, order, and manage electronic medical information supporting hard copy medical records, utilizing the approved Laboratory Information System.
• Uphold a standard of providing 100% accurate, reliable, and confidential results to the authorized facility ordering or utilizing the results.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in phlebotomy techniques and specimen collection procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions to patients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and record-keeping.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to varying patient needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
