Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Full-time Pharmacy Technician at the Naval Hospital Pensacola located on the Florida Gulf Coast.

This contract position offers:

• Full Time 
• Monday through Friday between the hours of 0500 and 2100 
• PTO
• Medical, dental, vision and 401K

Job Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)or successful completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program (i.e., a technical, hospital or retail based program
• The pharmacy technician shall have at least 12 months of experience within the last 36 months. This experience shall have been in an inpatient/outpatient pharmacy setting
•  BLS from American Heart Association
• Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is desired. PTCB certification exam will be taken within 120 days of hire for Pharmacy Technicians without certification

Job Duties:

The Pharmacy Technician shall greet and receive patients, prepare and maintain records, pull and file patient prescriptions, perform basic secretarial skills, handle telephone calls and written correspondence.Serve as a liaison between physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other medical staff to Pharmacy personnel.The Pharmacy Technician shall perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.The Pharmacy Technician shall receive patients in a courteous and professional manner.
