Location: Concord, MA – MCI-Concord. This position will be for the Secure Adjustment Unit program and will work with incarcerated adult males. This is a locked facility with a strict dress code and other policies. The position may be relocated to the Shirley complex in Shirley, MA
Pay rate: $54,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours. Monday-Friday. Possibility of one night shift (12:00 PM-8:00 PM) in the future.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education, or closely related field required.
• Previous experience with incarcerated population a plus.
The Counselor for the Secure Adjustment Unit program is responsible for:
• Assessing and evaluating inmate needs.
• Monitoring inmate compliance with all program and Massachusetts Department of Correction (MA DOC) rules and regulations.
• Facilitating classes and group sessions as defined by curriculum and according to Spectrum Health Systems standards.
• Maintaining records in accordance with Spectrum and MA DOC policies and procedures.
• Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, conferences and other meetings as directed.
• Providing case management services as assigned.
