Must have a min of 2 years tax return prep exp. 1040/1120-S/1065

A successful candidate for this full-time position will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and tax returns of assigned clients as well as other critical business functions. Essentially, our staff tax accountants act as the comptrollers of their assigned corporate clients, providing business formation and other tax planning advice, tracking the bookkeeping and other financial records, preparing financial statements such as the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, and organizing and preparing the annual tax returns.

• Must be proficient in PC computer/Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, and 10-key calculator
• Must have experience with QuickBooks
• Must be familiar with the preparation of Form 1040 individual returns and all associated schedules, Form 1120S corporate returns, and Form 1065 partnership returns
• Must have experience in bookkeeping—tracking income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity items—and have a good working knowledge of how the financial statements interact
• Must be detail-oriented and dependable and should possess quality time-management, communication (including legible handwriting), and organizational skills
• High school degree required; college degree strongly recommended
• Prior tax experience required

Salary starting at $50,000, negotiable based upon prior experience and education
