Summary:
The Client’s team is searching for a mid- or senior-level Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer, situated in Long Beach, California.
This position is to support the C-17 military cargo aircraft operating around the world. The focus for this position will be developing and maintaining aircraft mechanical systems such as hydraulics, flight control actuators, landing gear, environmental control, fuel, and cargo handling. The successful candidate has an ability to perform systems integration; create assembly and installation drawings, perform basic related analyses, and resolve technical problems. This position requires someone that is self-motivated, has leadership skills/lead potential, and has good communication skills (verbal and written). This position requires someone that is customer focused with the ability to focus on building strong customer relationships.
Position Responsibilities:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Typical Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 4 years' related work experience, Master 7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
