Job Title: Systems Programmer II
Location: Columbia, SC - Hybrid
Duration: 12 Months (Temp to Perm Hire)
I/S Partially onsite -Typically on-site Thursday but with flexibility
Is a C2 clearance needed? Yes

Windows operating admin experience, Server administration, Vendor management, operational health
Top 2-4 PREFERRED/NICE TO-HAVE Technologies
RedHat admin experience
A few sentences describing what a typical day would be like in this role
Skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and logical thinking skills. Comprehension of advanced data storage techniques, basic database philosophy, database management, and advanced programming techniques. Understand the requirements for maintaining production systems and the effect of systems changes. Solid understanding of currently utilized programming productivity tools and their use. Solid understanding of quality assurance and implementation strategies of systems software. Able to acquire knowledge of programming languages and tools used in the department. Able to analyze software specifications for completeness and compatibility with operation systems. Required Software and Other Tools: Standard office equipment. Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
Education: Required Education: Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other job related field or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree Required Work Experience: 4 Years IT experience including varied programming experience.

- Cross Platform tools is a team that specializes in the full lifecycle of supported tools including road-mapping ownership, implementation, operational support, and compliance remediation.
- The specific products supported by Cross Platform Tools typically span across various lines of business and have been identified as being implemented across multiple computing platforms which include various operating systems installed on both servers and workstations.
- A typical day in on the team could consist of troubleshooting an issue identified by a customer, working with a vendor to ensure best practices are occurring, evaluating a new version or enhancement to one of our tools, or remediating an issue identified on an endpoint that reports into one of our tools.
- Our customers typically consist of other IT professionals; however, we do assist non-technical "end users" as well when needed.
- Overall, we are a close-knit team of professionals who try to take every opportunity to knowledge share with one another and empower the business through outstanding communication, implementation, and support of our business-critical tools.
- Our tools span from certificate management, and endpoint protection such as antivirus and whitelisting, patching, inventory, and identification of phi and phi.
