Spectraforce Technologies is Hiring an Analytical Chemist Near Waukegan, IL

Job Title - Chemist
Duration -
1 year w/potential for another 1 year extension
Location- On-site - Lake County, IL
Min Pay Rate: $24/hr

8 am to 5 pm 1st shift hours, (M - F) (occasional need to work Saturday / Sunday . . . maybe once a month).
Description:
Prior experience working in an industrial lab, preferably analytical, with prior responsibilities related to stocking of supplies and management of materials is desired.
Prior experience with chromatographic techniques (e.g. HPLC or GC) or wet chemistry techniques (e.g. KF, pH measurement) and / or some understanding of general analytical topics is highly preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma is required.
AS or BS in Chemistry or related degree is highly desired.

4: Team Player . . . willing to adjust work priorities based on the needs of the Department
5: Flexible . . . must be willing to work at two different job sites ~ 15 minutes apart (R8 and AP31) although they will likely only be working at one site primarily.
Nice to have (but not required):
Bachelors degree in chemistry or allied field or experience working in an industrial analytical laboratory
Candidate will be trained the individual to perform chromatography or wet chemistry (e.g. KF, pH, etc.) when there is a need.
Primary work will be in a lab setting with some activities in an office (e.g. cube) setting. Individual will be working around and with various common chemicals within an analytical laboratory.
Prior experience working in an analytical (or similar) laboratory setting performing maintenance activities (e.g. waste disposal, supply stocking, solution preparation) would be great.
