The main focus of the Drafter will be capable to develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment using multiple drafting CAD software packages, such as AutoCad, SolidWorks, Creo, and SolidEdge. This will include the ability to coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems. The drafter will have adequate drafting knowledge to resolve design problems and to incorporate correct notes, symbols, and tolerances for manufacture of the designed components, such as weld symbols, geometric tolerances, assembly instructions, and the like.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Key responsibility will be to listen to gain understanding of job assignment expectations
• To work in an organized and systematic manner that complies with internal and external drafting standards or those standards imposed by the customers' requirement
• Overall project responsibility including:
• Verify the design meets performance and configuration specifications
• Responsible for completing projects on time and on budget
• Understand expectations and standards of customer
• Will be responsible to work on multiple CAD packages
• Create detailed CAD models of manufactured components
• Create detailed CAD models of purchase parts
• Reviews CAD models for completeness, interferences, and manufacturability (their own work and the work of others in the department)
• Develop detail drawings of purchased components and assemblies
• Develop detailed manufacturing drawings of piece parts, weldments, assemblies, and schematics
• Review detail drawings for completeness, accuracy, and client standards (their own work and the work of others in the department)
• Generate Bill of Materials
