Warehouse Supervisor

Key Job Elements:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including shipping & receiving, storage, distribution, and maintenance. They will ensure that inventory is accurately managed, and that all operational policies and procedures are enforced. Additionally, this role will supervise and motivate employees, maintain health and safety standards, and liaise with clients, suppliers, and transportation companies.

Responsibilities:

The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities that are expected of the warehouse supervisor position; however, additional duties may be assigned, as required.

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup per schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Complete diary logs into inventory
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
• Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly
• Receive feedback and monitor service quality
• Ensure accurate production records, reports, and documentation
• Execute company handbook policies and maintain safety measures

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Current forklift license preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, move, and handle up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period.
