Job Summary
As a Patient Advocate Representative you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound patient, provider and physician calls, and answering questions related to third party billing. This is a fully remote position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Answer questions related to third party billing, while maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees where applicable.
- Identify and escalate in a prudent manner, concerns received from patients and/or clients so that corrective action can be pursued and expedited to take care of their needs.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries within practice management system, including uploading all correspondence and EOBs to correct accounts.
- Set-up budget plans and prompt pay discounts, following approved patient billing guidelines.
- Collect patient payments over the phone to be run through credit card processing system.
- Provide receipts to cash posting department to ensure payment is posted to the correct patient’s encounter.
- Work to research and resolve problems in a timely manner.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hourly Wage Estimate: $15.43 - $23.89 (Several factors, such as specific skill set, education level, certifications and years of experience, are considered to determine actual compensation.)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- One (1) year certificate from a college or technical school.
- Experience:
- Two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
- Experience working with NextGen, preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

- Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.

- Proficient with a computer and good knowledge and understanding of MS office
- programs, and email
- Proficient with general office equipment.
