At Specialty Professional Services, Corp, we understand that there are a variety of choices when choosing your nursing agency. Some "other" agencies are large national companies while others are small local boutique agencies started by nurses out of their homes, like Specialty. Specialty has over 100 years combined management experience and has been established as a leading healthcare staffing agency for the last 25years. We have grown and structured our operation, which was initially focused on the Mid-Atlantic region and has now morphed into a national presence with three well established branches along the east-coast. Our South Florida operation, located in Broward County FL. is the office which handles our traveling healthcare professionals. Having separated travel and per-diem between two offices, we've been able to better focus on meeting the demands of the healthcare facilities that we do business with day in and day out. We strive to provide healthcare facilities with a more personal and professional approach.

Located in Whitestone Queens, New York, and founded in March 1993 by a veteran ER/ICU RN. Specialty has significantly grown to become a leader in supplemental staffing in the region and now expanding even further.

Our organization, our history, management and healthcare professionals are committed to improving the quality of our services and the integrity of healthcare delivery, while engaged in the business of recruiting and providing supplemental healthcare staff. Specialty is one of the nationally recognized Healthcare Staffing Organizations, Certified by the Joint Commission. “We are very proud to display the Joint Commission's “Gold Seal of Approval™ here on our website, its marketing material and even "embossed on our front door” says Vasken Z Aznavorian, Vice President of Corporate Development. Specialty was one of the first New York based healthcare staffing organizations to receive The Joint Commission’s (TJC) “Gold Seal of Approval” in July 2007. Since that date, Specialty was re-certified in July 2009, July 2011, July 2013 and most recent June 2015 after having successfully passed an unannounced on-site survey.

Our responsiveness and high caliber of healthcare professionals became standard. Specialty grew to become a dominant temporary staffing company in the New York Metropolitan market. Specialty continues to identify its next organizational goal as we continue to meet the evolving standards of The Joint Commission.
