CVOR Technician Needed

Salary: $2,730 per week

Job Description:

• Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization of equipment, and availability of necessary supplies.
• Set up and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies required for procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient operation during surgeries.
• Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
• Provide assistance to surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgery to minimize infection risks.
• Handle and label specimens obtained during surgery, ensuring proper processing and transport to the laboratory.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as necessary.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Engage in continuous training and professional development to stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular surgical techniques and equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or completion of a CVOR Technician program.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
• Competency in operating and maintaining surgical equipment and instrumentation.

- Epic proficiency for electronic health record management
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Critical care experience is a plus
- Familiarity with various medical systems and equipment
