SUMMARY:
Performs clerical and secretarial duties including typing, filing, answering telephones, recording messages, assisting visitors and patients, insurance verification/precertification.
Works with general direction from the appropriate manager.
Maintains effective communication with supervisor and other staff.
Responsible for working up surgery fees and obtaining authorizations
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High school degree or equivalent required.
Medical billing and/or medical office experience required.
Experience in physician's office, medical records, or other health related field advantageous.
Two years general clerical experience.
