AUTO MECHANIC

FULL TIME / BENEFITS

Specialty Fleet Services of Farmingdale, NY is a Premiere Full-Service First Responder Emergency Vehicle repair center.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated mechanic to join our elite service team! At Specialty Fleet Services, we take great pride in our team members and embrace the positive culture we have cultivated. Position responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing vehicles which include ambulances and first responder vehicles. Candidate to be well versed in complex mechanical and electrical systems components.

RESPONSBILITIES:

· Completion of routine vehicle maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) to improve vehicle performance and longevity.

· Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair/replace parts of fuel systems, electrical systems, air systems, hydraulic systems, and all components on associated emergency response vehicles.

· Ability to provide accurate estimates for repair or maintenance work.

· Working knowledge of diagnostic systems and methods.

· Must have ability to work from drawings and schematics when necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Current valid driver’s license.

· Willingness to observe all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

· Ability to safely drive vans, SUVs, and ambulances.

· Highly organized and proficient. Ability to multitask in a busy environment.

· Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment. Including lifts.

· Certification from vocational school or completion of apprenticeship preferred.

· Preferred minimum experience of 5 years.

· Candidate to own full complement of personal hand tools.

COMPETITIVE PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
