Receiving Clerk
We are looking for a responsible Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material. You will be responsible for unloading and checking material to ensure they match the orders.
They must have a great eye for detail and great math skills. They must also have great clerical skills to update records and follow up with supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:
In charge of receiving supplies and materials into the storehouse. Receives incoming orders of equipment and supplies, and maintains records on the computer with data entry |
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (List in order of importance)
Function |
Counting, sorting, and weighing all inbound goods and authenticating the receipt of the same in accord with the packing slip |
Ensuring the proper handling and stocking of goods, in compliance with warehousing and storage norms |
Inspecting the received goods, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately reporting the same |
Ensure the proper loading, unloading and handling of goods and materials |
Validating the received materials and goods with the invoices to ascertain the precision of the goods delivered |
Ensuring the completion of all paper work relating to the received goods and processing the bills |
Coordinating with the transporter and other workers of the organization for smoothly receiving of goods |
Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment |
Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records |
Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory |
Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies |
Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost |
May operate office machines, such as calculator |
May stock and issue materials or merchandise |
Ensure you follow all SPM safety procedures associated with operating machinery, plant requirements and other safety regulations |
Attend all required training, seminars or other skills set instruction |
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor |
SPECIALIZED JOB SKILLS: Briefly describe additional work skills (other than educational experience listed above) required to perform the position’s responsibilities
Excellent computer skills. Working knowledge of inventory control systems & MS Office application. Experience in inventory and material control procedures, ability to arrange things in a certain order or pattern |
WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL: Describe work environment and travel requirements that are essential to this position.
Air-Conditioned Plant environment with variety of conditions. Regularly required to sit or stand. Protective clothing, eyewear, masks and shoes are required. Maximum weight limit 55 pounds. |
