Special Needs School is Hiring an ABA Supervisor Near New York, NY

Provide administrative, instructional, behavior and training support to MCC faculty and students as this relates to oversight and supervision of classrooms.

· Conducts in-service training for MCC staff

· Provide ongoing training to all classroom staff in Applied Behavior Analysis, including direct data collection on staff

· Mentor lead teachers and instructors through professional development goals

· Interview candidates for ABA instructor positions as assigned

Services to Students

· Oversight and supervision of criterion based assessment within assigned classrooms (e.g. ABLLS-R, AFLS, ISB)

· Analyze student and teacher progress daily, weekly, monthly, and on a semi-annual basis

· Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and write corresponding Behavior Intervention Plans for students

· Conduct Functional Analyses as needed

· Oversight of implementation, training, and development of behavioral interventions (FBA/FA/BIP) in conjunction with lead teachers

· Review, edit and finalize IEPs, progress reports, schedules and all other student related documents

· Participate in IEP meetings, including notes, advocacy, parent preparation and ensuring timely documentation to the CPSE/CSE

· Provide BCBA supervision to BCBAs-in-training

· Monitor student programming, data collection, and behavior plan implementation

Services to Parents

· Confers with parents as an integral part of the task of helping increase understanding, constructive participation in resolving the student’s educational, home and community based needs

· Establishes and maintains open, positive lines of communication with parents concerning programming

· Attends clinical team meetings and provides follow up parent training where warranted or requested by the family

Administrative

· Complies with and implements school policies & procedures.

· Ensures adequate supervision of MCC students at all times while engaged in community integration activities.

· Attend professional meetings to keep abreast of new information, regulations and technologies as they pertain to ABA

· Review and assist faculty members in grant applications that pertain to assigned classrooms

· Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Education, Director of Education and Chief Administrative Officer.

· Exposure to a variety of childhood and adult diseases and illnesses

· Exposure to students with a variety of problem behaviors that can include (but are not limited to) biting, hitting, kicking, throwing objects/furniture, hair pulling, scratching and other behaviors that may result in injury to others

· The position also entails significant walking, bending, standing, stooping, and possible physical interventions in order to maintain a safe learning environment

· Assignment may require the ability to physically move students or equipment, position students in specialized equipment, and/or change diapers or other personalized sanitary items as needed.

· Must be able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing, etc.) in the course of working with children with developmental disabilities and behavior problems.

· Must be able to engage in crisis management holds/transport of students in the course of behavioral management

· Must be able to work in a highly stressful environment while maintaining a calm demeanor throughout daily interactions with patients, staff, parents, and visitors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
