REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field such as hospital or nursing home administration, physical therapy, speech therapy, social work or psychology.
-QIDP Qualified.
-One year experience working with people with disabilities.
-Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills.
-Reliable transportation.
-Clean driving record and documented automobile insurance as required by state law.
-Able to pass criminal background check.
-Carry sufficient automobile insurance as deemed necessary by SED #1 carrier.
-Computer proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Maintain flexible working hours.
-Ability to remain calm and positive during stressful situation.
-Positive attitude toward people with disabilities.
-Ability to coordinate services between individuals, family and support staff.
**This may require lifting, assistance in training, and pushing or pulling of wheelchairs and other apparatus. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 lbs. with assistance.**While prior experience with Medicaid Waiver Programs is not required, it is beneficial.

FUNCTION: The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) will coordinate services for recipients in Medicaid Waiver Programs. He or she will be responsible for the delivery of services to recipients.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Responsible to help with the development of agency policies and procedures to achieve and maintain compliance with Louisiana Medicaid Program and the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities.
2. Help secure and maintain the appropriate licensure for Medicaid Programs.
3. Help secure and maintain OCDD enrollment into Medicaid Programs (STANDARDS OF PARTICIPATION).
4. Function as QIDP for Medicaid Waiver recipients.
5. Attend Quarterly and Annual Planning Meetings for designated Medicaid Waiver Recipients.
6. Develop and administer Vocational and Residential Plans of Care for Medicaid Waiver recipients.
7. Develop and maintain staffing schedules for Medicaid recipients.
8. Supervise staff working with Medicaid recipients.
9. Develop and maintain a competency-based training program for staff.
10. Develop and maintain a Quality Enhancement Program.
11. Facilitate communication between Medicaid recipients and interested parties to deliver services.
12. Maintain and oversee the Department of Labor Requirements for special minimum wage rates.
13. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Medicaid Services Coordinator or Executive Director.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote the agency and its mission in providing services and supports to people with disabilities.
  • Attend training sessions and acquire certifications as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in the performance of job duties.
  • Maintain flexibility and accept new job duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
