SPCA Tampa Bay Florida Inc. is Hiring a Human resource specialist Near Largo, FL

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to coordinate many human resources initiatives, in conjunction with and in support of the Chief People Officer.

This self-starter will also have a strong background in HR functions and be proficient in various HR systems and tools.

Overall, our ideal candidate will be responsible for key tasks including payroll, benefits enrollment and coordination, electronic record keeping, employee personnel files, coordinating staff programs, monitoring compliance to policies, and assisting with development and implementation of human resources initiatives in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction.

What you’ll do :

Advertise job openings, screen resumes, conduct interviews and pre-employment assessments, perform background checks, and manage workflow in an applicant tracking system through full cycle recruiting.

Coordinate day-to-day activities as it relates to employee benefits, including open enrollment and changes in enrollment due to life events.

Organize all leave occurrences, such as paid and unpaid administrative leave, FMLA, ADA accommodations, bereavement, jury duty, and short-term / long-term disability.

Review and monitor time and attendance records and prepares bi-weekly and unscheduled payroll batches.

One year or more of prior professional experience in a human resources support role

You are an excellent communicator & extremely detail-oriented

You have working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, Power Point, Email and Calendar

What you get :

120 hours of PTO 6 paid holidays and 3 floating holidays

All health benefits start the 1st of the month following your hire date.

403b retirement plan you can start contributing to the 1st of the month following your hire date with a 25% match, up to $1500 per year after a year of employment
