JOB SUMMARY: SPATCO is looking for a full-time salesperson role at SPATCO Energy Solutions. As we continue our growth in Texas, we're seeking a professional Salesperson in the Dallas-Ft Worth area that will be responsible for selling convenience store construction projects, fuel installation packages and retail fuel equipment associated with convenience stores. This role will be located in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area and will offer the flexibility for remote work and report to the VP of Retail sales. Essential Functions:
Experience developing and managing relationships with customers
Prepare and present sales presentations
Develop, negotiate and deliver customer proposals
Work closely with customers and internal SPATCO teams to identify best solutions to meet the customers’ needs
Establish positive working relationships with several internal SPATCO teams to ensure on time/on budget delivery of customer’s project(s). i.e. sale support, service, credit collections and construction
Product knowledge specific to our industry and/or a demonstrated experience in prior jobs learning new product lines/business is required
Establish productive and professional relationships with vendors
Thorough understanding of the retail petroleum marketplace and what factors influence the market and customer decisions
Identify sales gaps within the territory and create plans to fill the gaps and drive incremental market share growth
Prepare and submit reports (e.g. sales reports, expense reports, and territory business plans)
Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
Stay up to date on new technologies, market events/conditions affecting the industry and ultimately grow company’s market share and revenue within the assigned territory
Experience, Competencies and Education
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record of sales success and meeting sales targets and key performance indicators
Experience working in the oil and gas industry or related field is preferred
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales management software
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Strong communication skills and ability to present and sell products/services to customers
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and goals
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
5 years of previous experience and track record
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred or equivalent experience
