SPATCO is looking for an energetic Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This person’s primary role will be supporting outside retail sale persons. The responsibilities will focus on sourcing products and materials that meet specifications provided by the sales person and securing the best possible pricing, creating quotes, converting quotes to orders, following up on orders to ensure delivery meets the order schedule.
Essential Functions:
  • Professionally communicate with customer and supplier representatives to obtain data and resolve problems.
  • Researches and documents all information that may be required to complete a customer quotation.
  • Obtains pricing for materials and components needed for the quotation.
  • Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects of the organization.
  • Outbound and inbound account management.
  • Handling cancellations or changes in sales order and communicating the changes with the related departments.
  • Coordinating with multiple departments for status on orders from relevant suppliers ensuring the delivery commitment to clients is met.
  • Creating and delivering qualified leads to outside sales persons.
Experience, Competencies and Education
  • Must respond well to fast paced, changing work assignments.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong teaming skills.
  • Serve as internal sales support for pre-defined territory locations or sales person(s) to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
  • Work closely with the internal team members and outside sales force to insure high customer satisfaction, to drive territory coverage and maintain positive distributor relationships.
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
  • Communicate changes in schedules to all relevant parties.
  • Cover for other Inside sales staff while members are on vacation or unavailable.
  • Fill requests for catalogs, information or samples.
  • Setup and maintain customer information
  • Assist with A/R issues when necessary.
  • Bachelor Degree or relevant experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Effective time management skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Backup support person for the DEF distribution and commercial sales representative.
  • Work with our DEF distributors on the phone assisting with requests for product information, price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations according the SPATCO policy.
  • Create quotes for the outside sales team based on information the sales person provides.
  • Work under time constraints efficiently and have the ability to work well with others.
