Junior Counselor Assistant Director 2024 Job Description

Spartans Sports Camp is dedicated to providing an encouraging and positive environment that aids the development of its campers as both children and athletes. In the course of this goal, we intend to promote an active, healthy lifestyle for campers and to provide leadership opportunities for high school and college students. Spartans Sports camp is operated by the Mountain View High School Athletic Department. Since 2012, the camp has raised over $480,000 for MVHS Athletics.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

-Participate as directed with an enthusiastic and engaging attitude to maintain Spartans Sports Camp culture

-Supervise and train Junior Counselors (rising 8th and 9th graders)

-Develop training curriculum for the Junior Counselors

-Integrate the Junior Counselors into the Multi-Sport camp plan for the day, and provide feedback so that they can improve their leadership ability.

-Coordinate daily schedule with other asst. directors & MS Director
-Assist in off-season marketing

-Attend ALL training sessions (primarily virtual this year). Employees will be dismissed if they miss trainings without prior approval.

Compensation: $24/hr
