We are hiring a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and compassionate ICU team at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney, SC!

• This is a PRN Night position - 7p to 7a

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse must be physically, mentally, and emotionally strong to work with the critically ill and their loved ones. They must possess a wide variety of high-level nursing skills, be competent to assess critical care patients, recognize complications and administer care and coordinate with other members of the critical care team. The ICU nurse must excel at interpersonal communication, critical thinking and decision making. Under general supervision, they must be able to perform tasks with frequent interruptions. They must demonstrate thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serve as a resource for the support staff. Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Medical Center culture, vision, mission, and goals.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License/Registration/Certifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of South Carolina or Multi Compact State
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Preferred Education

• BSN or MSN

Preferred Experience

• Critical care

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications

• CCRN
