Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• With direction from the Race Director and Course Manager sufficiently marks a course using marking tape and directional arrows based on Race Director guidelines and an existing course design
• Ensures the core product of Spartan Race (the course) is built within company guidelines for mileage, throughout, challenge, and safety.
• Takes creative liberties to enhance the racer experience leveraging existing unique terrain
• Assists in directing volunteers to help finish all course marking within the given timeframe
• Addresses any course issues on race day, being proactive about searching for problems before they happen.
• Assist and Manages all Course Operations personnel including pre-runners, course pullers, and course sweepers.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Comfortable traveling for 2 weeks at a time.
• Have personal experience racing, preferably trail racing and/or OCR Comfortable reading a map and terrain
• Comfortable operating independently when necessary
• Thrive in a fast paced high stimulus environment and be able to multitask.
• Have the physical stamina required to walk many miles each day carrying a back pack full of supplies.
• Comfortable using GPS and supporting technology
