Field Operations Manager Position Overview

The Field Operations Manager will oversee the construction operations and equipment division for Spartan Paving, part of Outworx Group, the hardest working company in exterior facilities maintenance. Working closely with the General Manager, Sales Team, Operations Support, and the Field Foreman this position is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating all commercial, industrial and municipal paving projects. The Spartan team consists of five crews performing Asphalt paving, Milling, Earthwork/Grading, Sealcoating/patching, and concrete repairs.

Field Operations Manager Responsibilities

• Manage schedule, and direct day-to-day activities of work crews
• Oversee crew operations to ensure safe and timely execution of quality work.
• Ensure efficient project performance and cost management
• Identify potential site issues and work to quickly and efficiently resolve any site issues that arise
• Coordinate daily projects, ensuring customers are notified, equipment is ready, trucking and materials are scheduled and crews are adequately staffed and informed of objectives
• Provide team leadership, coaching and training to ensure a productive operations team

Field Operations Manager Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar operations role, specifically in paving sitework
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and supervise multiple foreman and their crews at the same time
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in the field at multiple customer locations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration across multiple teams
