Sparksoft Corporation is Hiring an IT Specialist Near Columbia, MD

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The IT Specialist maintains knowledge of our current IT environment while supporting our internal customers.
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing, implementing, and supporting various hardware, software, and systems.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to multitask with excellent time management skills.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3 - 5 years of advance IT Support
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments.
  • Excellent End user support
  • Solid experience in system administration to include system maintenance, upgrades, patching, IT Security, auditing, and user account management.
  • Solid Cloud experience, preferably in Azure
  • Experience with virtualization.
  • Experience with monitoring systems health and optimization.
  • Experience working in a ticketing system with advanced documentation, and firm knowledge of SLA.
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Firewall administration.
  • Experience managing and administering SharePoint sites, specifically, site management, user management, creating automation workflows, and managing document libraries.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
  • Microsoft certifications
