Sparks Group is Hiring a Remote Data Engineer
Job Details
Sparks Group has partnered with a non-profit organization that is seeking a Data Engineer. The Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining their data pipeline infrastructure, ensuring the smooth flow of information across their systems and tools. You will also have the chance to lead smaller, impactful projects within the data space. This is a fully remote contract role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage the infrastructure needed to extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from diverse sources
- Master the art of wrangling data - you'll structure and combine information from various sources to create a unified view
- Actively contribute to the development of their data management and integration strategy, shaping how they utilize data for future endeavors
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where needs can evolve quickly, demonstrating excellent adaptability and self-direction
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Python proficiency with a focus on libraries like Pandas, Requests, and FastApi
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, with a strong understanding of PostgreSQL
- Solid Linux knowledge and comfort working with the command line
- Data Pipeline Power (Bonus): While not mandatory, experience with data engineering tools like Apache Airflow or Meltano would be a plus
- The ability to travel occasionally, as needed
