Job Summary: District Manager
District Managers are responsible for three to five Spark Car Wash locations. We believe in allowing the DM to develop relationships with the on-site teams. We do not plan on overextending them with too many sites and feel that a maximum of five locations is the right number. The DM is responsible for all aspects of the operations of their sites including ensuring Management is trained, Grand Openings are successful, site level marketing is implemented properly, sites are well maintained, and all locations are hitting KPI goals. The District Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is the primary bridge between the corporate office and the site level teams. We believe that this connection is crucial to the success of the company and the communication goes both ways. The District Manager should own this conversation which ultimately allows for the growth of the employee-centric culture that we believe is at the core of Spark’s success.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Develop and maintain a team that delivers a consistent experience across multiple sites.
  • Role model a culture of ownership, accountability, training, service, and cleanliness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the business – we love hearing new ideas.
  • Understand the importance of profitability and the impact the correct decisions make on the customer, staff, and brand.
  • Ensure that General Managers are trained on P&L management and hitting KPI goals.
  • Ensure that the equipment is properly maintained so that the cars consistently come out with a mirror shine and smiles on the owners faces.
  • Hiring and training of best-in-class General Managers
  • This list is not exhaustive, the District Manager is responsible for everything in their district.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • The District Manger position is an important role at Spark – you’re the glue that bonds the company vision to the action on the ground. You’ll be good with people and have a real sense of pride in your work.
  • Spark is a fast-paced, dynamic environment – we’re looking for someone who is a self-starter who is invested in doing the work to find the right answer to ensure the best outcome.
  • We’re looking for a candidate with great attention to detail – someone who can spot a problem quickly.
  • Because we are growing, we are interested in candidates who also love to be curious, to learn, and to grow.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • The position requires the ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as walking, standing, bending, stooping, and handling of tools/materials as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • The position requires the ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • The District Manager works in all types of weather conditions and requires an individual with availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
