* Certifications within information and cyber security such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNE, SANS, GIAC

* Demonstrated knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design and privilege access).

**Summary**

The Security Officer plays a critical role in the delivery of high quality products to the healthcare industry by helping ensure that the systems are secure and comply with all applicable regulations. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of the security concepts.

**Responsibilities**

* Creates information security strategies, both short-term and long-range, to protect all information assets and mitigate risks in support of the organizations strategic goals.

* Directs an ongoing, proactive risk assessment program for all new and existing systems and remains familiar with business processes so effective controls can be put in place for areas presenting information security risk.

* Responsible for the development, implementation, communicate, and maintenance of the organization's information security and cybersecurity programs, policies and procedures.

* Collaborates with IT leaders, human resources department, and legal counsel to ensure full legal compliance of company policies, procedures, forms, notices, and materials

* Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches, as necessary.

* Deliver services that meet regulatory specifications. Work with internal and external auditors to document and confirm that all security administrative duties are properly performed as well as demonstrate overall compliance.

* Interface with information security personnel at customers/prospects to address requests about the data security program.

* Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for open discussions of ideas, expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee to succeed

* Partner with our System Engineering teams to ensure our application environment is configured to ensure security of customer data.

* Lead information security-related programs that include, but are not limited to, audits, penetration testing, scanning, monitoring security controls

* Assists with the implementation of new products offered, including completing risk assessments, ensuring that new policies and procedures are in place to address and mitigate the associated risks, assist with testing products to make sure they function as expected.

* Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

**Qualifications**

* Experience with HIPPA, PCI, NIST, HITRUST, process and related controls.

* Minimum 5 years of experience leading information security programs in the healthcare industry.

* Minimum 8 years of experience working with IT operations, information security, or IT/regulatory risk management in a healthcare setting

* Certifications within information and cyber security such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNE, SANS, GIAC.

* Experience with Cloud Security Services from AWS or Azure.

* Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory and audit requirements with respect to information security and privacy issues.

* Demonstrated knowledge of networks technologies (protocols, design concepts, access control), design, engineering, and security.

* Demonstrated knowledge of security technologies (encryption, data protection, design and privilege access).

* Experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation.

* Experience planning, developing, and implementing security and privacy policies and procedures

* Drug/background screening required prior to start
