Summer Program Coordinator
Full time position
Educational and recreational activities, , Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with youth ages 8 to 13
Summer Program Verano Alegre, Coordinator, is responsible for assisting with development of the activity schedule and overseeing the implementation, program reporting, and family engagement. Verano Alegre is Monday -Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
The Coordinator will support the priority outcome areas of Academic Achievement, Healthy
Habits, STEM/STEAM, Good Character and Civic Engagement. The Coordinator also provides leadership and supervision to Program Instructors, Program Vendors, and Volunteers; and controls expenses as assigned. Helps to create an environment that facilitates academic achievement by promoting and stimulating program participation. Provide guidance and positive role modeling. Effectively implement and administer programs and activities with staff and volunteers. Facilitate and evaluate programs, services, and activities always cognizant of the safety of members, quality of programs and appearance of the Spanish American Center.

The program also offers health, nutrition, community service, financial literacy, science, technology, engineering, arts, math, career readiness and of course-- recreation and sports!
All our programs follow CDC, State, and Local COVID safety protocols.
Experts have long recognized that learning doesn’t stop during the academic year. The summer months provide opportunites to keep children and youth safe, to inspire them to learn, and help them develop the skills they need to succeed academically, socially and professionally.
