The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a systems integration software engineer to become a part of our team. With an emphasis in systems integration, software engineers that hire into this position focus on ensuring that all components of the system are properly integrated and working properly together. The emphasis will generally be on integrating a satellite with ground system software and creating scripts and software to ensure the mission is able to succeed. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering field
• 5 years of experience in software development (3 with MS degree)
• Work experience in requirements development and analysis
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with web languages (JavaScript, CSS, etc.)
• Experience with system level integration and debugging
• Desire to learn and develop new skills on the job
• Ability to manage time and competing priorities
• Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold a US government security clearance

• Experience in at least one of the following languages: C#, C , Java
• Experience with an interpreted language: Python, Ruby, etc.
• Write clean, consistent, and well-documented code
• Ability to write and utilize hardware and software interface specifications
• Design, develop and analyze complex and difficult software systems
• Experience with software test methodologies (unit, integration, etc.)
• Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps concepts
• Use of version control software, ticketing and documentation tools (such as Bitbucket, JIRA and Confluence)
• Experience with micro services architecture and/or message-based application design

• Experience presenting technical material to groups
• Experience and/or familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with software deployments
• Experience with satellite flight or ground systems
• Experience working as a Scrum Master
