Description

SPAARK seeks a skilled and motivated Video Teleconference Technician to support to our government customer. The Video Conference Technician will provide support to the Commander, Submarine Forces Atlantic (COMSUBLANT) at the Naval Support Activity (NSA) building in Norfolk, VA on various Audio/Visual systems as necessary for leadership and operational forces. 

• Set up VTC hardware, establish and monitor VTC sessions, and correcting minor audio and video issues during VTC sessions.
• De-conflict or re-schedule Video TeleConference (VTC) in the case of overlapping requirements, assign and setup conference rooms based on user requirements.
• Initiate and establish connectivity, perform system checkout ensuring both audio and visual performance meets quality standards prior to conference start time.
• Provide basic technical support in connection with VTC operations, applications, training, and administration
• Maintain equipment accountability, conduct scheduled inventories and issue audio/video equipment.
• Manage printers and consumables.
• Perform minor maintenance such as replacing bulbs and fuses and conduct basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Provide dedicated technical assistance in support of conferences, meetings and presentations. Coordinate customer requirements; recommend appropriate methods of presenting customer materials.
• Conduct bridge scheduling, help desk, remote monitoring and support of classified and unclassified VTC’s.
• Maintain stock of replacement parts and record equipment checked out to staff or other authorized personnel such as but not limited to mission partners who may be authorized to temporarily be assigned laptops or other equipment for use within customer spaces or while on travel in support of various missions.
• Update guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOP), bulletins and flyers in accordance with government direction concerning the operation and use of Audio Visual Systems (AVS), portal sites, systems, services, reports and activities.
• Operate and utilize audio visual systems as required
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with the design and delivery of AVS services.
• Evaluate new AVS services and technologies of use by the COMSUBLANT HQ staff.
• Apply information security and information assurance policies, principles and practices in the delivery of AVS services, meet security standards and apply security patches as necessary.
• Recommend required operational levels of supplies and equipment. Maintain Government approved levels of stock for continuity of operations.
• Maintain, deliver, set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of AVS and sound system equipment in support of briefings, multimedia presentations, training, ceremonies and other official purposes. 
• Provide on-the-job training to government team members in AVS capabilities so adequate backup is available to meet customer AVS requirements. 
• Coordinate with government stakeholders to maintain VTC Conference Rooms operational and report technical issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate to order supplies as necessary. This task includes filling out Purchase Request forms for routine supplies, obtaining concurrence signatures from appropriate officials, routing the purchase request to designated officials, and relaying questions and concerns back to designated officials as needed.
• After hours support may be required occasionally.
• Travel may be required within 10 miles of the work location to support the leadership's intranet systems, Information Assurance, and Audio/Visual systems at his home. Government vehicles are available to support this travel.
• Travel may be required to take iPhones to the Apple store for repair/troubleshooting. Government vehicles are available to support this travel. 
• Once or twice a year travel, greater than 10 miles, may be required to support the Vice Admiral while he is traveling. 

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication. 
• Experience utilizing SharePoint workflows.
