The Work You Will Do:

The Tech Lead, Quality manages the Quality Assurance (QA) team. The Tech Lead, Quality will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.

More specifically you will focus on three major areas.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery. Ensures that test plans and scenarios fully exercise every aspect of the product.
  • Creates and contributes to creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data for use during the testing phases of the software development lifecycle for new and existing software systems/products.
  • Confer with representatives of critical material, service, and component vendors to obtain information related to vendor quality standards.
  • Maintain and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required by using proprietary and external software.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems. Document and coordinate issue identification and resolution between clients, customers, and the development team.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Ensures full test coverage for assigned deliverables.
  • Defines standards, methods, and procedures for test automation.
  • Analyzing and developing solutions to problems.
  • Managing various projects, work, technical support, etc.
  • Create and update product documentation for use by the support team, QA Team, Development, and partners.

Release Management: 

  • Manage the entire release process from beginning to end. Release coordination of executables. Plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle. Schedule, plan, and control the software development and delivery process.
  • Communicate the project-related tasks, such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc., between different teams.
  • Search and report product release dependencies throughout projects.
  • Adhere to change management policies per SOC requirements. 

Project Management: 

  • Strategize and prioritize product requirements to communicate the requirements effectively and create target versions for development and QA.
  • Work with the Support Manager and VP of Partner Relations to prioritize and determine issues, enhancements, and priority of development work and QA team.

What We Ask From You:

  • Proficient in analytical problem-solving with acute attention to detail, adept at identifying and resolving complex issues efficiently. Demonstrates strong time management skills, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure timely project completion. Additionally, possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Experience with tools used for data validation and comparison
  • Focus on and demonstrate the ability for continuous process improvement.
  • Experience triaging and root-causing software bugs.
  • Experience developing detailed test plans and writing tests.
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field is required, with supervisory experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a field related to the products being developed; or equivalent experience
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
