Come join our SMOC Head Start team as an ERSEA Coordinator and make a difference in the community. The Coordinator for Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) for our Head Start Program will have responsibility conducting outreach and recruitment activities to assure the program has a sufficient waitlist of children. The ERSEA Coordinator will act as an ambassador for the SMOC Head Start program. They will represent the program, and principles of Head Start in all aspects of their job performance with diplomacy and professionalism.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Provide input in and solutions for the development of program wide ERSEA Management System, Policies and Procedures.
*Develop and maintain a recruitment plant targeting all Head Start and Early Head Start eligible children including children with disabilities within the program service area.
*Determine eligibility based on funding requirements for enrollment into Head Start sites and options.
*Lead the programs outreach efforts to ensure and maintain full enrollment in all Head Start slots.
*Conduct ongoing monitoring for Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance to ensure that each area is well documented in ChildPlus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Associates Degree in a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
*Experience working with a Head Start or Early Head Start program as a part of ERSEA preferred
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to interact effectively with the leadership team, parents, children, center staff, and the public in a multi-ethnic environment.
*Must be comfortable working with diverse ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds of the communities and must be able to effectively communicate with children and families of the community.
*Proven ability to develop collaborative partnerships and work as a member of the team.
*Must be willing to work outside of traditional work hours (evenings/weekends).
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to develop, read and interpret data.
*Accept other duties as assigned.
