Position Summary:

The Financial Counselor is responsible for reviewing schedules daily and performing all pre-registration tasks, including insurance verification, creating estimates, running medical necessity and informing patients of their liability prior to the scheduled visit. The Financial Counselor also visits in-house patients collecting estimated patient liability amounts; explaining all financial information, and works closely with Case Management to ensure notice of admission is performed, and inpatient authorizations are requested.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

One year of related experience required.

·Communication - communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. This includes utilizing proper punctuation, correct spelling and the ability to transcribe accurately.

·PC skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
