SouthWest Vision is Hiring an Optician Near Saint George, UT

A rewarding position for an individual that is highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and customer-service focused. Responsible for coordinating care to a loyal patient base where patient care and satisfaction always comes first. Must be comfortable with both the healthcare and retail aspects of optometry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Frame selection, repairs & adjustments
  • Order and final inspect all eyeglass jobs. Follow up on all eyeglass orders with lab.
  • Dispense eyeglasses to patients and educate on eyewear
  • Follow up with all eyeglasses orders
  • Keep frames, demo lenses, displays clean and organized in dispensary
  • Keep up to date with latest lens/coating technologies
  • Reconcile monthly invoices
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Help cover other stations when needed, cross training is expected
  • Accurate and detailed recording/charting and filling out all optical forms
  • Keep lab neat, clean organized
  • Analyze, solve, and correct customer service issues
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years prior optical experience preferred.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have a "team player" attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must present a professional appearance

Full Time, hourly wage position.
