SwRI is Hiring a PRINCIPAL SPECIALIST - Division Program/Project Security Specialist Near San Antonio, TX

  • Assist with planning, coordinating and executing security programs to meet all federal regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with government agencies to maintain facility accreditation. Oversee and analyze Supply Chain and Supply Chain Risk Management issues associated with the new construction and updating of secure facilities.
  • Provide guidance and assist the Division ISSO regarding security-related matters for Information Systems in order to obtain accreditation and/ maintain compliance for existing systems.
  • Collaborate with various U.S. Government Agencies, to include DoD to ensure the divisions practices fall within the direction of their policies and regulations.
  • Oversee logistical platform to support off-site projects.
  • Create and complete processes and SOPs. Manage security incidents, concerns and insider threat assessments.
  • Provide training and guidance to Program/Project Managers on how to best support client requirements.
  • Provide logistical support and assist the Program/Project Managers in the planning coordination for programs and projects.
  • Serve and an alternate Division Security Representative to ensure continuity in support of multiple U.S. Government programs and projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in security for program management, research, development, acquisition, quality control, and logistics.
  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Organization Security Management, Risk Management, Information Safeguarding, Security procedures or directly related with related experience or a high school diploma or equivalent; those without a degree must have 20 years of related experience.
  • 15 years: Experience working in government defense and/or security field.
  • 15 years: Special Access Program environment. Experience performing security for the DOD, DOS, IC or DOE highly preferred.
  • 15 years: Experience in Logistical, Secure Facilities, Information and Communications Technology, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Current TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
