Description

Reports to and works under the supervision of the Activity Director. Provides satisfactory work and character references. Provides proof of citizenship or eligibility to work in the United States. Be at least 18 years of age or have a High School Diploma or GED. Possesses the mental and physical ability to perform the duties of the job classification to which you are assigned. Must be able to sit, walk, stand, lift, and stoop throughout working hours.

Each employee will have the ability to enroll in a C.N.A. class within 6 months or when available in the facility area.

Qualifications

1. Works with the Activity Director to restore self-confidence, community integration, re-socialization skills, improving physical condition, leisure education for residents, one-on-one programming for the room/bed-bound, providing mental stimulation and sensory stimulation for residents in the facility.
2. Distribute snack (food and/or drinks) within resident's diet guidelines between meals.
3. Distribute drinks and trays at mealtime to appropriate residents (in room dining
support).
4. Check diet cards against tray serving resident.
5. Distribute ice and water to resident's room daily. Obtain list from charge nurse of residents who have special fluid orders.
6. Pick up water pitchers on assigned days for cleaning and replace in rooms when clean with ice and water.
7. Assist with in room Activities as needed.
8. Assist with other duties as assigned.
