Responsibilities:
 
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and the school’s curriculum, emphasizing the core values of Trust, Respect, Ownership, and Leadership.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to participate actively in their learning journey.
• Utilize various instructional strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to succeed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate literacy skills across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Prepare students for success in Ohio State Testing through targeted instruction, practice activities, and ongoing assessment.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and offering strategies for support at home.
 
Qualifications:
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid Ohio teaching license/certification in Language Arts or eligibility for licensure.
• Proven success in facilitating student growth, particularly in standardized testing measures.
• Experience working with middle school students in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Commitment to fostering a culture of trust, respect, ownership, and leadership within the school community.
• Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends and research.
