Position Overview: We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Substitute Groundskeeper to join our team. The Substitute Groundskeeper will assist in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our school grounds. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to the positive environment of our educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and watering to ensure the cleanliness and attractiveness of school grounds.
• Assist in the upkeep of athletic fields, playgrounds, and outdoor facilities, including sweeping, raking, and debris removal.
• Operate and maintain Groundskeeping equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Support seasonal landscaping projects, such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any safety hazards or maintenance issues on school grounds.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field preferred.
• Ability to operate Groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
