Job title: Nurturing Parenting Program Practitioner

Practitioners for the Nurturing Parenting program will provide guidance, coaching and support to vulnerable families and children in their homes and communities throughout Maricopa County. In this role, you will provide family centered, trauma informed services designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child-rearing practices with parents across Maricopa.

In this role you will:

  • Complete training in the Nurturing Parenting Program practice model
  • Adhere to all aspects of the Nurturing Parenting Practice Model
  • Complete all deliverables and paperwork timely.
  • Meet families and children in their homes and in designated places in the community.
  • Work collaboratively with DCS, community partners and within the agency

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field.
  • Experience working with diverse families.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Arizona's Child Welfare system.
  • Valid AZ Driver License, reliable transportation, and 36 month driving record.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card - OR - must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
