Southwest Health System is Hiring an Ultrasound Technologist (PRN/RELIEF) Near Cortez, CO
To provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information through conscientious, skillful, compassionate, and quality diagnostic medial sonography to the surrounding communities of southwestern Colorado.
Regulatory/Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology is preferred, but not required.
- Must be able registered, or eligible to become registered, by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography, within 6 months of hire.
- Current BLS/CPR certification..
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Must be able to communicate with and provide accurate explanations and instructions about the procedure to the patient, significant others and other health care providers.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.

This physical exam will determine the capability of the applicant to perform the essential functions.
