Our kennel technician position involves creating trusting relationships with the clientele.

The duties include:

-Thoroughly clean and disinfect all kennels rooms on a daily basis.

-Responsible for daily feeding and medication administration.

-To observe animal appearance and activity for general physical condition, if an abnormality is present report it to management.

-To utilize animal handling skills to provide a safe and friendly environment for the animals at our facility.

-Exercise all eligible dogs and to provide animal enrichment.

- Perform needed cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and tools used in job assignments.

-Perform nail trimmings

-Wash and dry towels and blankets.

-Wash and sterilize water and food bowls.

- Observe facility grounds daily, picking up any trash and stool material

-Notifying management for major repairs needed or new equipment necessary to adequately complete duties.

- Properly assess new incoming pets and recognizing signs of stress in dogs and cats.

(Physical Demands While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and/or move up to 40 lbs; and are frequently exposed to loud noises.)

The positions are separate, however; we do cross train between departments.

Front Desk Position

Duties are as follows:

-Greet all dogs and customers with enthusiasm

- Remember clients and their dogs by name

- Handle all check ins and check outs

-Take payments

-Answer all phone calls, messages and emails

-Call owners to confirm grooming and bathing appointments

-Keep accurate files of dogs' vaccination history

-Create checklists to place in kennel tech areas

- Properly notate and communicate pet concerns

- Clean front area

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
