Southwest Christian School is Hiring an Annual Fund Coordinator Near Fort Worth, TX

Description

Summary

The Annual Fund Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the mission and vision of Southwest Christian School within the school and extended communities. This role is responsible for the administration and growth of the School’s annual fund and serves as a team member who supports School events and activities under the direction of the Director of Family Engagement. In this role, the incumbent must work collaboratively with all school stakeholders to ensure that our brand and identity are strengthened to advance our visibility. The Annual Fund Coordinator works a full-time, 12-month schedule.

Required Spiritual Qualities

  • Acknowledge Christ as Savior and seek to live life as His disciple
  • Believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God – our standard for faith and practice
  • Believe and actively support the School’s statement of faith
  • Demonstrate a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual outreach to others
  • Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions towards others (Luke 6:40)
  • Actively participate in a local Bible-believing church

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing or closely related field
  • 1-3 years of fundraising experience, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting
  • Warm and engaging communication style who naturally connects with a variety of individuals; positive relationship-building attributes

Position Responsibilities

  • Spearheads the growth for the Annual Fund campaign on a yearly basis; driving toward 100% participation from the parent population
  • Establishes a proactive pipeline for donor cultivation; identifies and nurtures potential donors along multiple layers of our community
  • Collaborates with the marketing team and other departmental stakeholders to ensure that messaging is consistent and reaches all community members
  • Connects appropriate personnel with potential donors to solidify and grow positive relationships
  • Meets with all families at various entry points to share expectations and opportunities for giving and volunteer activities

  • Follow Matthew 18 principle in dealing with conflict with donors, parents, staff, and administration
  • Defend principles and conviction in the face of pressure and partisan influence

Administrative Leadership

  • Develop and maintain rapport with students, parents, alumni, donors, and staff by treating others with courtesy, patience, friendliness, dignity, respect, and a good sense of humor
  • Is prepared each day, responding to unforeseen challenges and situations with the proper attitude and action
  • Demonstrate sensitivity toward school and local community stakeholders with an ability to interact effectively with all groups
  • Understand the importance of discernment, discretion, and confidentiality in the operation of the school
  • Serve as a communication liaison between administration and the communities served to ensure the goals and direction of the school are clearly stated and aligned with the mission of the school

The role may also require evening and weekend work activities to support events and activities planned and managed by the Advancement Department.
