Qualifications:
In this role, the Calibration Technician must have a keen eye for detail, possess strong technical skills, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. They should be adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality calibration services that meet both company standards and customer expectations. Dimensional background preferred (thread gage and API experience a plus). Torque, pressure, mass, and/or electrical metrology background considered.
· Metrology background encouraged with military training a plus
· Record of strong individual contributor success
Roles and responsibilities:
Customer Requirement Review:
o Thoroughly review customer requirements to understand the calibration needs and specifications for each piece of equipment.
Calibration Execution:
o Perform accurate and precise calibration of measuring and testing equipment following documented procedures and standards.
o Set up, use, and maintain reference standards and equipment necessary for calibration tasks.
Documentation and Reporting:
o Complete all documentation accurately and comprehensively, including calibration records, certificates, and reports.
o Report findings and data clearly and accurately, ensuring they meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Labeling and Identification:
o Apply appropriate calibration labels to equipment, indicating calibration status, date, and due date for re-calibration.
Technical Growth and Development:
o As experience and training progress, take on additional responsibilities such as writing and revising procedures, work instructions, and data sheets.
o Engage in analysis and reporting to provide insights and improvements in calibration processes.
Software and Computer Proficiency:
o Utilize calibration management software, such as Indysoft, effectively in daily tasks.
o Operate Microsoft Office applications and demonstrate basic computer skills to manage documentation and communications.
Safety and Corporate Values Alignment:
o Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
o Exhibit behaviors that align with the corporate values, demonstrating a commitment to integrity, quality, and customer service.
Field Service Calibration:
o Be prepared to work on-site at the manufacturer's location up to 50% of the time, providing calibration services directly at customer facilities.
Physical Requirements:
o Capable of lifting and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 pounds to facilitate calibration activities.
Team Collaboration and Attitude:
o Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and show a desire to contribute to and thrive within a high-performance team environment.
