Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center is Hiring an Internship - Children's Services Near Phoenix, AZ
INTERNSHIP - CHILDREN'S SERVICES
We are currently seeking interns for our Community School Program!
SARRC Community School is an inclusive preschool program, and each classroom has children with a diagnosis of autism and typically developing children. Interns assist with children ages 18 months to 5 years in a preschool setting. Interns learn about Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), specifically Pivotal Response Treatment!
Interns must commit to at least 10 hours per week plus every Friday afternoon and must commit for the academic semester and/or school year. The start-date may be flexible!

Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma and be at least 18 years of age
- Current college student, current graduate student, or recent college graduate
- Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills, problem-solving
- Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Experience with applied settings with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disability a plus
- Must submit to a 10 year background check
- Internship is unpaid.
