Job Description: Job Summary

This Network Operations Planning (NOP) Post Ops Analytics Consultant supports our Purpose by providing intermediate-level analytical and business consulting support to internal Customers through implementation of change. The NOP Team is a new Team aiming to refine decision-making processes, with this role primarily focusing on l ead analyses, developing visualizations, creating complex data models, and generating dynamic dashboards to provide decision support and self-service tools . This NOP Post Ops Analytics Consultant is a strategic problem solver and excited to help pilot the future of Southwest Airlines.

Responsibilities
Collaborate on key Post-Ops analytics efforts and projects and provide guidance and mentorship to others
Provide analytical support and expertise to Customers and partners intra/inter-departmentally
Perform descriptive and diagnostic analyses of operational events on an ad hoc basis while simultaneously managing long-term projects
Support the development of dashboards and other reports using data visualization tools
Act as a business strategy/project advisor, responsible for driving analysis, recommendations, and delivery
Work with the Disruption Pod stakeholders to provide extra analytical support by conducting analyses that generate meaningful insights and best practices for future disruption events
Facilitate strategic discussions with Leaders and project Stakeholders
Communicate with Leadership for different initiatives and adjacent/supporting workgroups to understand their analytical priorities and goals
Develop a deep understanding of airlines' priorities, value drivers, and challenges to translate technical needs to the commercial and business teams involved in the work
Build strong relationships with Network Operations Control, adjacent workgroup stakeholders and support departments to ensure constant sharing of knowledge and lessons learned
Act as a thought leader and serve as a trusted advisor to the Manager, Post-Ops Analytics
Contribute to Post-Ops Analytics sessions, ensuring all materials and presentations are developed to support discussions and influence decision making at the Director level
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of strategic and financial analysis and proven analytical and quantitative skills
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, product planning, prioritization, and coordination of people and resources
Knowledge of aviation operations, terms, and metrics
Knowledge of analytical technology systems and related theory, practice and concepts
Skilled in data analysis and visualizing data to drive insights using tools such as think-cell, Excel, Tableau, etc
Skilled in synthesizing complex information, conveying this in well-written PowerPoint presentations and presenting to stakeholder
Skilled in SQL and Excel
Skilled in Alteryx or other data manipulation tools, and Tableau or other data visualization software
Ability to quickly identify a path forward when tasked with complex analytical problems, including data cleansing/prep work
Ability to think like an owner. Demonstrates a high level of responsibility and provides direction in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
Ability to self-start and work autonomously, with limited and disparate information
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees up to and including executive levels
Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, communicate in an effective manner, and lead through influence at all levels within an organization
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively with the Team
Ability to demonstrate and maintain a high regard for confidential and sensitive information Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading
Advanced-level knowledge and experience in:
Driving complex cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders at all levels
Breaking down and solving ambiguous problems through quantitative and qualitative analysis
Developing clear and well-written PowerPoint presentations that synthesize approach, insights, and recommendations
Working with different business/operational workgroups to ensure that their analytical needs are being met while driving alignment
Running analysis using SQL, Alteryx, and/or Tableau and streamlining data automation
Building trust and sustaining relationships
Developing strategies, plans, and identifying critical decision points, communicating them to executive leadership

Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
Must be able to work at Company facility at least 3 days a week
Must be able to work extended hours based on operational needs
P ay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $102,500 per year to $113,900 per year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
