The Position: WRM has openings for Class A CDL Drivers to run tanker trucks on local routes. We are seeking safe drivers who are comfortable driving in urban settings and able to operate vehicles efficiently at our location in Houston, TX.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a roll-off truck to transport and deliver various materials to and from job sites. They primarily haul and dispose of large containers used for construction debris, solid waste, and other materials as needed. Roll-off Drivers play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized environment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

A WRM driverenjoys consistent work that is not subject to weather or economic fluctuations. Most of our shifts run Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. Shifts will vary, based on the needs of our customers. Regardless, WRM drivers get to go home after every shift! 

Qualifications


Educational Background & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial truck driver, preferably with roll-off or similar heavy-duty truck experience.
  • Valid, current Medical Card in good standing.
  • Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Must satisfy DOT background check and drug screen criteria.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards related to commercial driving.
  • Ability to operate hydraulic controls and mechanisms for loading and unloading containers.
  • Physical stamina and ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and climbing.
  • Excellent spatial awareness and maneuvering skills to navigate in tight spaces and job sites.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers professionally.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs.
  • Highly motivated and self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
