Description
Southview's Business Office is comprised of approximately 20 Patient Account Representatives in areas including Charge Entry, Patient and Insurance Payment Posting/Follow Up, Collections, PreCert, and Multi-Task. We are currently seeking an additional PreCert Employee to join our team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to obtaining and documenting pre-certs and/or prior authorizations for all Southview Physicians as needed for in-house diagnostic testing such as Echo, Nuclear, CT, etc., updating and/or correcting insurance and demographics as needed, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager. This individual will also process and submit charges for at least one Southview Physician.
Qualifications
Southview requires a High School Diploma/GED for this position. Previous experience obtaining pre-certs and/or prior authorizations required. Due to the high volume usage of Electronic Health Records and Electronic Practice Management systems, it is required that applicants have a strong background utilizing computers in a working environment.
Work hours may vary, but will typically be between 7:30AM and 4:30PM. Work days are Monday through Friday.
This position is eligible to work from home following successful completion of in-office training period which is typically 90 days .
