Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate activities, providing basic care, and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the daycare's curriculum
- Provide a variety of engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and physical development
- Create a safe and supportive environment for children to explore and learn
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and promoting healthy eating habits
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors in a positive manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare, childcare, or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices
- Strong classroom management skills to create an orderly and structured learning environment
- Ability to provide nurturing care while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- First aid certification is preferred but not required (training can be provided)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability to meet the individual needs of each child
