Southland Holdings is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated construction workers to join our team as skilled EXPERIENCED Concrete Laborers

Duties:
Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in sanitary sewer construction projects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
Excavates and fills trenches and ditches.
Maintain clean job site, pick up tools/equipment, secure job site each day-eliminate potential hazards.
Remove debris and trash at construction sites using wheelbarrows
Performs materials handling and storage.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
Direct traffic at/near building sites, carry out other traffic management activities
Maintain tools and equipment
Erect and destruct concrete forms, scaffolding and ramps
Dig trenches and place pipes or cables for drains and extra services
Construct and maintain roads, pathways or railways
Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt
Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:
Construction experience
Must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain for purpose of performing duties outlined above.
Must work in all weather conditions, be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
Must be able to work independently and maintain a schedule of work
Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, lift for extended periods of time
Must pass post offer drug screen and E-verify all candidates

Desired qualifications:
OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate
